Special Education at Pine Ridge Schools

Pine Ridge Schools are inclusive learning environments that meet the educational requirements of elementary, middle, and high school students with special needs. Our special education program addresses all learning disabilities, physical handicaps, and emotional challenges that form obstacles to student’s academic progress.

Our special education program gives your child the best opportunity to succeed. We recognize that every student has a unique learning process, and we must identify, evaluate and determine eligibility for any special education services. All eligible students receive the necessary accommodations and services according to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

A student’s educational journey also includes involvement in extracurricular and non-academic activities. Our special education services ensure that every student has equal opportunities to participate in programs and events outside the classroom. Students can receive auxiliary aids and accommodations that allow them to participate in all school functions.

Pine Ridge School ensures that all students receive fair and equitable treatment in our educational program. We encourage parental involvement and welcome feedback regarding your child’s education plan, records and services. We collaborate with all parents/guardians of children with special needs to make sure they remain successful on their journey to lifelong learning.
